Central Park’s Turtle Pond is a must-go in New York. The park is one of the first destinations tourists want to explore. It is definitely a place where New Yorkers go to relax, meet with friends, or wind down from the business of the city.

There are many spots that are special, but Central Park’s turtle pond is a must-go.

Central Park Turtle Pond

Other than the turtles that swim in the water, the turtle pond is quite empty and peaceful despite being close to the sidewalk. It is just two minutes away from the park’s entrance but hidden from the crowd. Besides turtles, there are also colorful koi fish swimming close to where visitors can see them. Although, it is prohibited to enter the water.

There are also ducks swimming together, giving visitors an experience quite unlike any other in the city.
Whether you’re hoping to sip some coffee in the park and catch up on your favorite book, or to bring a friend to show this majestic spot, you must visit to feel the energy of nature balancing everything.

One of the most incredible things you may witness is fishers coming to fish in this area as well. However, fishers must have a license to practice the activity in the park.
